For UK & EU Shopify stores
Shopify AI visibility audit
Find out what AI shopping assistants and Google can and can't read about your store, and get a fix list in priority order. Everything is checked from your public storefront. No admin access, no app to install.
What the audit checks
Product data
Every published product, not a sample: product type, tags, descriptions, images and alt text, barcodes (GTIN) and check digits, SKUs, duplicate titles, and test or "(Copy)" products left live.
Structured data
Product, Offer, Review/AggregateRating, Organization, return policy and shipping markup on your home page and product pages, so search engines and AI agents can read your prices, stock and reviews.
Trust facts
Refund, shipping, privacy and terms pages: are they there, are they more than one line, and do they cover UK, Ireland, Northern Ireland and EU delivery and a returns window?
AI crawler access
Whether robots.txt lets in 12 named AI crawlers (GPTBot, OAI-SearchBot, PerplexityBot, ClaudeBot, Google-Extended and others), plus your sitemap and llms.txt.
AI mention test
Five real buyer questions about what you sell, run through an AI assistant with live web search. We record whether your store is cited and who is recommended instead. The report says which assistant was used and when.
Fix list
A score out of 100, every finding with its evidence count and examples, the three fixes to do first, and a link to the official Google or Shopify page behind each one.
Sample: a real UK print store (anonymised)
This is an audit we ran on 4 November 2026 on a live UK Shopify store selling art prints and canvases. The store's name, address and product names have been removed. The numbers are exactly as found.
68/100 grade C
- 0 of 5 buyer questions cited the store. An AI assistant with live web search answered five real buyer questions about what the store sells. Competitors were recommended every time.
- 99.1% of products show no product type. 6,298 of 6,357 published products, which weakens collections, filters and the product_type field in Google feeds.
- No Organization markup. The home page only has WebSite markup, so machines have to guess who runs the shop.
- Shipping policy is 8 words long. It gives a delivery time but says nothing about UK, Ireland, Northern Ireland or EU delivery. The refund policy gives no return window.
- No barcodes and almost no image alt text in a 30-product sample. 30 of 30 products had no barcode, and 165 of 167 images had no alt text.
- 25 possible test or "(Copy)" products are live. Easy wins once they're found.
What it isn't
- It only uses what's public. It can't see your Merchant Center diagnostics, unpublished products or Shopify's product category field, and it says so where that matters.
- The AI mention test is a snapshot. AI answers change between runs, places and assistants. It's a baseline to measure against, not a ranking.
- llms.txt is a proposal, not a ranking factor. We report it, but we don't sell it as a fix.
- We don't change anything in your store. Fixes can be quoted separately if you want them done for you.
Early access: price and turnaround are still to be confirmed. Send a request and we'll reply with both before anything is agreed. There's no payment on this site.
